Dr. Josh Duplantis is a proven leader in higher education, economic and workforce development having experiences in K-12, 2 and 4 year colleges with a focus on department and divisional turnarounds. Josh currently serves as Dean of Workforce Development for Coastal Alabama Community College where responsibilities include business and industry partnerships, non-credit programs, apprenticeship development, adult education, and several "other duties as assigned".

Dr. Duplantis has engaged high school graduation ceremonies, has given college commencement addresses, and has spoken at hundreds of events for young professionals, chambers of commerce, Rotary/Kiwanis clubs, and other professional organizations. He has delivered keynote speeches at university distinguished lecturer series and conferences for fitness professionals. Dr. Duplantis has been featured on several local and national podcasts and has been recognized for being the outstanding higher ed practitioner in the southeast United States. Josh holds a namesake award, the Josh Duplantis service award earned by university faculty and staff at the University of Southern Mississippi who provide exceptional service to veterans returning to higher ed.
 
Josh holds a B.S. from LSU in Leadership and Human Resource Development, a Master’s degree from Auburn in Educational Administration and a Ph.D. from Southern Miss in Economic and Workforce Development. His research in the area of social capital has been replicated in the United States, Nigeria and Turkey.
 
Josh grew up along the bayous of Dulac, LA, and currently resides in Fairhope with his wife Elisabeth, son and daughter.

ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP SERIES PROGRAM: The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce strives to keep you informed and inspired with the Leadership Series program. Held at the Foley Civic Center approximately eight times each year and catered by a local restaurant, our Leadership Series luncheons feature knowledgeable and influential speakers presenting information on timely and relevant subjects important to our business leaders and community.
