About The Dream Center of Baldwin County

The Dream Center of Baldwin County is a non-profit organization located in Foley, Alabama and serves all of Baldwin County. The Dream Center is a place where at-risk youth ages 12-18 can begin to rebuild and transform their lives with the help of caring mentors and educators.

The primary goal of The Dream Center of Baldwin County is diversion, which is an intervention approach that redirects youth away from formal processing in the juvenile justice system while still holding them accountable for their actions. The Dream Center partners with Juvenile Justice, area schools, and parents to help break cycles of abuse, victimization, and criminality. Dream Center teachers and counselors assist students with their educational needs, providing help with homework and school projects. They help participants prepare for the workforce, gain employment or internships, and even apply for college and financial aid. The Dream Center provides clothing, food, as well as financial assistance for other outlets including community sports and recreational activities. They offer participants hope and teach them that yes, dreams can come true, that they do have a future, and that they do not have to be stuck forever in their current situation. The Dream Center uses as many tools as possible to keep participants from giving up and quitting life. They strive to restore participants' belief in society and trust in adults, law enforcement, and people in general. And The Dream Center offers these tools and various programs, all free of charge.
