30 Years Of Service To The Community

“30 Years … But Not Without You”
was the theme of The Lighthouse’s 30th Anniversary Celebration that was held last month at The PZK Hall in Robertsdale. Current and former board members and staff were joined by community members whose involvement has played a significant role in the work of The Lighthouse over the past three decades.

Partners from Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence, law enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, other social service agencies, to volunteers who help with shelter repairs or with fundraising activities were thanked for their help in impacting the lives of victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The highlight of the program was hearing from a survivor who spoke about the hope that she had found at The Lighthouse and the help she had received to turn her life around.

We are continually thankful to everyone who has supported The Lighthouse but even as we reflect on the accomplishments of the past 30 years, we realize that there is still much work to be done. With the help of this community, The Lighthouse will continue to be a Beacon Of Hope to those victims and survivors in their hours of need.
