$10,000 in Scholarships Awarded by the JLS International Vocational Scholarship Endowment Fund

On Thursday, May 8th, the Baldwin County Education Coalition proudly honored the 2025 recipients of the JLS International Vocational Scholarship at a special reception. This year, $10,000 in scholarships were awarded to 10 deserving students pursuing high-demand technical careers. This year's scholarship recipients are:

 

  • Baldwin Prep Academy/Baldwin County High - James Anderson, Electrical Instrumentation CACC
  • Baldwin Prep Academy/Daphne High - Parker Dewise, PSC Building Construction 
  • Baldwin Prep Academy/Daphne High - Colton Rainer, Auto Work GEN TEC
  • Elberta High - Dennis Clay, Lincoln Tech
  • Fairhope High - Ethan Montford, CACC E&I Certification
  • Foley High - Landdun Martin, CACC Welding 
  • Robertsdale High - Kamden Anderson – FAME (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education)
  • Robertsdale High - Karis Kolonis, CACC Vet Tech
  • Robertsdale High - Miller Ragsdale, CACC E&I Certification
  • Spanish Fort High - Jacob Hayles, Workforce in HVAC

 

The JLS International Vocational Scholarship supports Baldwin County public school students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs by helping cover the cost of trade school tuition, program expenses, tools, and equipment—everything needed to launch a successful career in today’s workforce.

 

This scholarship is made possible through the JLS International Vocational Scholarship Endowment Fund, established in partnership with Jeffery L. Smith, President of JLS International, who has generously committed to funding the endowment with a goal of reaching $1 million. Currently the endowment fund is at $750,000 and growing.
