Two South Baldwin Chamber Diplomats Complete Three-Year Terms

Foley, AL -  The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to celebrate two outstanding business professionals as they complete their terms as Chamber Diplomats. 

 

Samantha Harris and Andrea Jones, whose dedication and commitment have significantly contributed to the Chamber and its efforts, have selflessly served south Baldwin County for three years in their roles as Chamber Diplomats.

The Chamber Diplomats are an exclusive group of 30 exceptional volunteers who seek to enhance partner engagement in the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce by welcoming and mentoring new members, attending and assisting at Chamber events, strengthening Chamber efforts with connections and resources, and opening doors for recruitment and retention of members. 

Samantha Harris, a licensed insurance agent with South Shore Insurance Agency, began her tenure with the Diplomat Program in May 2021. Originally from Bemus Point, New York, Samantha moved to Foley with her husband, Kegan. Samantha states, "I love being a part of this program. My involvement has allowed me to make extremely valuable connections with other business professionals... being part of the [Diplomat Program] has helped me grow personally and professionally since moving to the area." In her three years as a Diplomat, Samantha has won two Diplomat of the Month awards, was honored as the 2022 Diplomat of the Year, served as the Diplomat Chairwoman in 2023, and served on the Balloon Festival Committee over Merchandise & Information. Because of her unwavering dedication to the Chamber and this community, she has renewed for another three-year term as a Chamber Diplomat. 

Andrea Jones, Accounts Payable at Vulcan, Inc., also began her Diplomat tenure in May 2021. Born and raised in Foley, Andrea has worked at Vulcan for a decade, alongside her husband, Leon. Andrea states, "I love being a Diplomat to be able to meet local business owners and be more involved in the community." In her three years as a Chamber Diplomat, Andrea has won two Diplomat of the Month awards, was honored as the 2022 Volunteer of the Year, served on the BBQ & Blues Cook Off Committee, and led the VIP Tent as a member of the Balloon Festival Committee. Andrea has consistently volunteered for nearly every Chamber event and is recognized by both Chamber and community leaders as a selfless, invested, and dedicated community member.

During their tenures as Chamber Diplomats, both Samantha and Andrea have been integral in the successes of Chamber events, programs, and campaigns. They are champions for our local businesses, invaluable assets to our Chamber organization, and have modeled the mission of the Diplomat program.
