Eco Clean Marine's October 5th Trash Pick-Up: A Sweet Success at Rita’s Ice Cream!

Gulf Shores, AL – On a breezy fall morning, Eco Clean Marine teamed up with an enthusiastic group of 22 volunteers to clean up the beautiful shores of Gulf Shores. The event, held on October 5th, 2024, at Rita’s Ice Cream, was a smashing success—both for the environment and for the local community.

In just one hour, this dedicated group of eco-warriors filled 24 5-gallon buckets with trash, giving the beach a fresh start and making the surrounding area even more enjoyable for locals and tourists alike. From bottle caps to plastic bags, and everything in between, these passionate volunteers didn’t let a single piece of litter escape their sights.

With delicious ice cream treats from Rita’s awaiting everyone at the finish line, this wasn’t your typical trash pick-up. Instead, it was a fun, feel-good event that brought together people of all ages who care about preserving the local environment. "It was awesome to see so many smiling faces and helping hands come together for a great cause," said one of the volunteers.

Eco Clean Marine continues to champion efforts like this one, making a positive impact on the environment while inspiring others to join in. "We’re not just picking up trash; we’re preserving our beaches, protecting marine life, and making Gulf Shores a cleaner, more beautiful place for everyone," said a spokesperson for the organization.

Eco Clean Marine would like to thank the incredible volunteers and Rita’s Ice Cream for hosting this event. Here's to cleaner shores and sweeter moments!
