53rd Annual Art in the Park

The 53rd Annual Art in the Park will take place on May 10th & 11th at Heritage Park, located in the heart of Downtown Foley. The park creates the perfect setting for this celebrated event. The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Sponsored by the Foley Art Center, this juried fine arts show features the work of over 80 skilled artists. Visitors can expect to find unique shopping opportunities among one-of-a-kind creations crafted in various mediums such as intricate pen & ink drawings, vibrant oil paintings, delicate watercolors, handcrafted pottery, stained glass, carved wood displaying masterful craftsmanship, elegant porcelain, colorful fused glass, soft textiles offering warmth and texture, and a wide assortment of jewelry.

This free outdoor festival is held on Mother's Day Weekend, making it an ideal outing for the whole family. Bring your loved ones to enjoy not only the art but also the delightful ambiance of this outdoor setting. Children will be delighted with the hands-on activities and face painting available in the expanded dedicated children's area, while the local children's art exhibition from three schools this year allows visitors to admire the creativity and imagination of students of all ages.

Another festival highlight is the local youth’s art exhibit featuring work from local students. The youth section is expanding this year, representing art from three schools:  Foley Middle and High Schools and Elberta High School. -  The festival artwork for the next year is chosen from this exhibit. The 2025 artwork chosen for this year’s t-shirt and poster was created by 10th-grade artist Laila Al-Biyati.  The t-shirts will be on sale at the Art Center’s tent.  Prices for the T-shirts are:  S-L  $15.00 and XL, XXL and XXL are $20.00. Laila will be at the art show Saturday morning to sign shirts.
