On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Governor Kay Ivey announced Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funding of over $45 million for 23 projects in Coastal Alabama. The Baldwin County Commission was awarded $2,530,000 in GOMESA funds for renovations and additional amenities to Perdido Bay Park which is located on County Rd 99 in Lillian overlooking Perdido Bay.
