FOLEY, AL- Newsweek announced today that the Coastal Alabama Farmers & Fishermens Market (CAFFM) was first runner up for the 2025 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Farmers Market. CAFFM beat out some of the largest markets in the country to nab the number two spot. Downtown Foley Pedestrian Enhancements Moving Forward with Decorative Bollards, Lighting
FOLEY – Improvements to make walking through downtown Foley more attractive will include bollards to keep cars out of pedestrian areas and decorative lighting over city streets. The Foley City Council approved the purchase of bollards that can be used as barriers to restrict vehicles from parking or driving on pedestrian areas. Foley Standardizing Speed Limits
Foley is changing speed limits in the southwest part of the city to make the regulations more consistent. FOLEY – Speed limits are changing in some Foley neighborhoods in order to make the rate of travel more consistent along city streets. The Foley City Council voted Monday, May 5, to give final approval to an ordinance standardizing speed limits in neighborhoods in the southwest quarter of the city. Open House held at Foley Airport
FOLEY – Foley’s municipal airport was on display for the public on Saturday, March 22, as residents had a chance to take part in an open house showing off the facility. About 100 people took part in the open house Saturday morning. Participants asked questions about airport activities and operations. Foley City Elections return to Civic Center for 2025
FOLEY, AL – Foley voters will return to the Civic Center for the 2025 municipal elections after polling stations were moved in 2020. Municipal elections in Foley and most of Alabama will be held on Aug. 26, 2025. If a runoff election is needed for any office, that election will be held Sept. 23, 2025. The Foley City Council voted Monday, March 17, to approve a first reading on an ordinance to establish the polling place for the 2025 city elections. Renovated 1925 Foley building becomes chamber office
May 24th, 2023 | City of Foley News FOLEY – A 97-year-old building that survived proposals to tear it down is now the office of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce after being donated to the organization by the city of Foley. The chamber held an open house Monday, May 22 to display the renovations made to the 5,600 square-foot building.
